Based on continued demand for the company’s services, RT Process has installed  a larger scale dryer at its facility in Wilmington, Ohio.  The unit is based on the company’s original equipment, a plowshare type mixer/dryer.  The new unit is capable of basic blending and mixing of solids to customer specifications. In addition, spray nozzles for support impregnation or liquid blending are installed as well as choppers which can be used to break up any agglomerates which may form during the drying or the liquid addition step.

Further to the company’s goal of facilitating customer scale up work – the unit’s manufacturer is located less than one hour away allowing customer’s to evaluate their processing needs on a bench scale with the manufacturer and immediately moving into production scale at RT Process.  All of this can be accomplished with minimal effort, owing to the proximity of the facilities.  The company and its staff are ready to support customer’s efforts toward rapid and efficient scale up of their technology.
